Since 2014 this project has been an ongoing initiative where the objective is to produce a watershed management plant for the two lakes.  The group will devise methods to preserve and protect the ecological health of the two lakes and their watershed while meeting the needs of all stakeholders.  It is a collaborative project with the SV of Baptiste and Island lakes, Athabasca County and the Province of Alberta and other key partners.  This organization is passionate about the quality of water of the lakes and have applied and received grant funding for testing the water in both lakes.

The organization is awaiting the results of these tests which will assist in determining their next action. The organization holds regular public participation forums to educate and inform the public on the importance of caring for our lakes for future generations. It is a very active organization with a very enthusiastic membership.  The board consists of 9 members and has 16 plus active volunteers.
